SODHARA v0.4.6 is out! Introduction of pixel perfect graphics and a complete overhaul of the save system are the highlights of this version, alongside various other improvments both big and small.
Features:
- Introduce pixel perfect graphics.
- Set game's windowed resolution to 1536x864 (4x scale) with full screen as optional.
- Major save system overhaul, in terms of it being decoupled from the player and now supporting level-wide settings.
- Account for projectile direction during throwback.
- Handle corrupt save files gracefully.
- Introduce separate area and sub-area names, both in exonym and endonym versions, the latter of which is only accessible if required translator keys are collected and at least one local map station is visited.
- Add cheat that enables all translator keys.
User interface:
- Update HUD elements to accommodate for 8px fonts.
- Update area and mini map render textures to accommodate for pixel perfect graphics.Update world map to pan in discrete units one map square in size.
- Update world map to display information for the map section under the cursor.
- Add backdrop to area name caption and in-game message caption.
- In-Game messages extracted into a separate class for easier maintenance.
- In-Game messages custom text colour enabled.
- Disable area map zooming and panning if PixelPerfectCamera component is attached.
- Preserve whitespaces and punctuation in Inscription object's encoded messages.
- Introduce 5px font for system information.
- Use the 5px font for the Debug Overlay.
- Lock and hide mouse cursor while in game.
Refactoring:
- Rename Controller to Ctrl.
- Resolve all TODO comments.
Bug fixes:
- Update check if the Pause screen is active so that freezing when transitioning from Confirmation screen back to Pause using the Cancel button is avoided.
- Revert to previous UnitsPerPixel value in `{csharp icon} CameraController` so as to avoid the bug where camera is pushed too far away from the bounding box edges.
- Prevent jumping while climbing a ledge.
- Prevent Animator updates while Pop-Up is active.
- Disable any input during throwback.
- Fix the exceptionally high jumps while grappling.
- Update the speed automatically set while entering the tunnel.
- Update rocket launcher and ball bomb damage.
- Fix the occasional problems with detecting tunnels while morphing from ball.
- Fix "sticking" to crumbling tiles when falling (caused previously by the side-protruding collider).
- Prevent player's collider from being off when exiting play mode while grabbing.
